Drama Club is a weekly after school theatre group in which teens play drama games to develop leadership skills.

This program will be facilitated by professional theatre artists who are sharpening their facilitation practice. Facilitators will receive support and mentorship from Theatre Direct–and feedback from teens!

Since 2025, this program has fostered connection among and between teens and theatre artists through sessions inspired by improv, physical theatre, sound, and more.

All levels of experience are welcome. Honoraria ($30/session) and snacks provided.

Join our next cohort to be a part of:

• Six 2-hour after-school sessions
• A group of twelve teen (13-19 years old) participants
• As a participant: an opportunity to meet and build community with teens interested in theatre through drama games and theatre creation.
• As a facilitator: an opportunity to develop and practice your facilitation skills and network with other facilitators and Theatre Direct
• Play-focussed–no expected results or performance!

For participants: The program is by application. Teens can apply online here or by filling out a hard copy of the application at select community organizations. The deadline to apply is Monday March 16 at 11:59pm. All applicants will be notified whether or not they have received a spot by Thursday March 19 by e-mail and/or phone.
