For 50 years Theatre Direct has specialized in creating professional theatre for young audiences that speaks to the pivotal themes they encounter in their daily lives, aligned with the Ontario curriculum. Select shows are supported by comprehensive study guides for pre- and post-show classroom activities.

In an age of increasing e-learning, a live theatre experience is essential. It provides a shared, interactive event that builds classroom community, fosters critical thinking and provides opportunity to build real-life social skills. By offering a playful way for students to step into someone else’s shoes, these performances specially made for young learners are a powerful tool for developing empathy and sparking creative social development.
