Instructions for Photo/Video Submissions

iPhone/Android

1. Go to > Camera app, or the equivalent on your device. 
2. To take a photograph of artwork, select the photo option and hit the circular button. To take a video of dance, or movement, Select the video option, hit the circular record button, and at the end of your child’s piece, hit the square stop button to stop the recording. *Please film in landscape mode!
3. Go to > Photos, Gallery, or the equivalent app on your device. Select your photo and/or recording, the share icon and then your e-mail app to e-mail your recording to virtualcamps@theatredirect.ca.

Instructions for Audio Submissions

iPhone

1. Go to Extras > Voice Memos App. 
2. Select All Recordings. 
3. Hit the red record button. 
4. Record your phrase, or sound effect. You may consider using the mic via a pair of headphones to improve the quality of your recording. 
5. Hit the stop button to end your recording. 
6. Select the three dots icon, “Share” and then your e-mail app to e-mail your recording to virtualcamps@theatredirect.ca. 

Android

1. Go to Recorder. 
2. Hit the turquoise record button. 
3. Record your phrase, or sound effect. You may consider using the mic via a pair of headphones to improve the quality of your recording. 
4. Hit the stop button to end your recording. . 
5. Name and save your recording.
6. Select your recording, the share icon, and then your e-mail app to e-mail the recording to virtualcamps@theatredirect.ca. 

Laptop or Desktop

1. Download for free, or open Quicktime.
2. Go to File > New Audio Recording. 
3. Hit the red record button. 
4. Record your phrase, or sound effect. You may consider using the mic via a pair of headphones to improve the quality of your recording. 
5. Hit the stop button to end your recording. 
6. Name and save your recording, choosing where you save it on your computer. 
7. Select your recording from wherever you saved it and e-mail the recording to virtualcamps@theatredirect.ca.
