Give ‘em Hell is a comedic play with heart written by Madeleine Brown and directed by Aaron Jan. It is inspired by the 2012 closure of Peterborough’s oldest high school, Peterborough Collegiate Vocational School (PCVS) and the resulting student activism that occurred over its final school year. Prairie Fire, Please (PFP) is Madeleine Brown and Aaron Jan, known for their back-to-back sold-out, critically- and audience- acclaimed productions at the Toronto Fringe Festival (2017-2019) and the Toronto revival of Canadian poet Molly Peacock’s The Shimmering Verge. The production will be produced and presented in partnership with: Theatre Direct, 4th Line Theatre and Peterborough Museum and Archives.

We are casting three roles to perform alongside local teenage community members:
Adult Track 1: male-identifying, 30- to 45-years-old, imaginary friend to 14-year-old girl based on a Canadian political satirist
Adult Track 2: female-identifying, 35- to 50-years-old, multiple roles including parent, teacher, school board staff member and politician
Adult Track 3: male-identifying, 30- to 45-years-old, multiple roles including school board staff member, reporter, politician and motivational speaker–if you can play a mean acoustic version of the “Hokey Pokey,” we wanna see it!
